Why mod a Daytona 660
The Daytona 660 is Triumph's sport triple: 95 PS, four-piston radial brakes, clip-ons and, until 2026, a fork with no adjusters. The mod list splits between street (tail, protection, screen) and track (springs, pads, tires, flash).
Daytona 660 street mods, in order
Tail tidy
Fit a tail tidy with flush LEDs. Evotech (2024+), R&G ('24+) and Puig (2024–25) list Daytona 660 kits, and Triumph's 2026 update list doesn't include the tail.
Protection
Fit frame sliders (Puig R19 for 2024–25, R&G Aero for 2024+), GB Racing engine covers (2024–26) and Evotech spindle bobbins.
Levers
Evotech lists Evo folding and short lever sets and lever protectors for the Daytona 660 (2024+). Check whether your track organization requires a lever guard.
Exhaust
Only full systems are listed: SC-Project's STR-1 is Euro 5 approved, and Akrapovič's Racing Line is closed-course only, 3.3 kg lighter and needs no remap but shows a check-engine light on Euro 5+ bikes.
Flash
Woolich lists the Daytona 660 for 2024–25. BT Moto sells a handheld Stage 1+ tune for 2024–27 that lists throttle de-restriction, a raised limiter and smoother decel, and says it is 50-state legal for 2024–26.
Suspension
The 2024–25 fork has no adjusters and the shock only preload; the 2026 fork adds compression and rebound. Fit springs for your weight first. Nitron lists Daytona 660 shocks for 2024–26; the fork travel is 110 mm, not the Trident's 120 mm.
Daytona 660 track build, in order
Tires
Fit Supercorsa SP, Q5 or the 2026 bike's stock Metzeler M9RR in 120/70 ZR17 and 180/55 ZR17. The 2024–25 OE Michelin Power 6 is a road tire.
Brake consumables
Fit race pads, fresh fluid and a lever guard. Radial four-piston calipers are stock, so start with pads and fluid.
Springs, then damping
Fit fork and shock springs for your weight, then valving. A 2026 bike's adjustable fork lets a tuner work with the stock cartridge; 2024–25 bikes go straight to a cartridge kit.
Crash-ready
Fit GB Racing engine covers, Evotech spindle bobbins and caliper guards, and frame sliders. Check your organization's rules on the belly pan and fluid catching.
Full system, flash, gearing
Pair a full system with a flash. Sprocket Center lists 15/51 on a 520 chain (120 links) for 2024–26, and a tooth or two on the rear shortens the gearing for a tight circuit.
Daytona 660 fitment by year (2024–25, 2026 update)
- 2024–252024–2025
Launch bike: 95 PS claimed at 11,250 rpm (Triumph says 17% more power and 9% more torque than the Trident), triple throttle bodies, a new 3-into-1 exhaust with an underslung silencer and a 12,650 rpm redline. A non-adjustable Showa 41 mm SFF-BP fork, a preload-only Showa shock, four-piston radial calipers on 310 mm floating discs, Michelin Power 6 tires, 201 kg wet, clip-ons and $9,195 at launch. Shift Assist and connectivity were accessories. Covered by NHTSA recall 25V-531 (oil flow).
- 2026 update2026–present
The fork gains compression and rebound adjustment, Shift Assist becomes standard, Metzeler M9RR tires replace the Power 6, and there is a new headlight with integrated DRL and an aluminum brake pedal. Triumph's update list doesn't include the engine, brakes, shock or frame. Its US page lists the bike from $9,395.
Daytona 660 gotchas — read before buying
Daytona 660 parts interchange
Reported by riders; verify before buying. Full chart → See also: Triumph Trident 660.
- Trident 660: GB Racing lists one clutch and pulse cover for the Trident 660, Tiger Sport 660 and Daytona 660, but the Daytona's alternator cover is its own, and R&G's front axle sliders list both bikes (vendor-listed). Fork, calipers, clip-ons and bodywork don't cross.
- The 2026 Trident 660 has the Daytona's 95 PS output and 12,650 rpm redline. Triumph doesn't say its parts are shared, and the Trident's frame was revised in the same year, so verify per part.
- Daytona 675 and Daytona Moto2 765: name only, nothing crosses.
Triumph Daytona 660 mods FAQ
Does the Daytona 660 come with a quickshifter?
From 2026, yes: Triumph Shift Assist is standard. On 2024–25 bikes it was an accessory, so check for the sensor on the shift rod before trusting a listing.
Is there a recall on the Daytona 660?
Yes: NHTSA 25V-531 covers 2024–2025 bikes for possible engine failure from disrupted oil flow. Dealers increase the oil capacity and fit a redesigned dipstick at no charge. Verify by VIN on any used 2024–25 before spending mod money.
Does a Daytona 660 exhaust need a tune?
Akrapovič says its Racing Line needs no remap but warns of a check-engine light on Euro 5+ bikes. SC-Project's STR-1 is Euro 5 approved, and neither maker lists a slip-on. Woolich and BT Moto sell flashes if you want the fueling changed.
Is the Daytona 660 good for track days?
Yes, within its class: 95 PS, radial four-piston brakes and clip-ons. Springs for your weight, pads and sport tires get it there, and the 2026 adjustable fork makes setup easier. It isn't a 600 supersport and doesn't claim to be.
What changed on the 2026 Daytona 660?
An adjustable fork (compression and rebound), standard Shift Assist, Metzeler M9RR tires, a new headlight with DRL and an aluminum brake pedal. Triumph's update list doesn't include the engine, brakes, shock or tail, so most 2024–25 parts should still fit; fork internals and the accessory quickshifter don't apply.
