How to choose

The short answer

The big three — CRG, ASV, Pazzo — are close enough in quality that you pick on price, adjustment style, and warranty. Shorty levers suit two-finger braking; folding levers are crash insurance. Add a brake lever guard before your first track day — most organizations require one.

Before you buy. None. A lever guard may need matching bar-end hardware if you already run bar-end mirrors or weights.

ASVmidUSFolding, adjustable, and backed by a 5-year warranty — the longest in the category.

By bike

Levers by model

What each bike's page says about levers: the brands that fit, the year splits and the gotchas, quoted from the 28 bike pages that have a note on it.

Suzuki GSX-R600

ASV C5 or CRG RC2. Skip unbranded pairs on a bike you brake hard with.

Aprilia RSV4

ASV/CRG fitment is gen-specific; the Italian billet brands (Lightech, Bonamici) list the RSV4 across generations. Lever guards required for track duty.

BMW S1000RR

ASV and CRG dominate; lever guards are required by most track orgs. Fitment is gen-specific — 2019+ listings don't cover K46 bikes.

Suzuki GSX-R750

ASV C5 and CRG RC2 are the two serious answers. Add a lever guard for track days — most orgs require one.

Ducati Panigale V2

CRG, ASV, and Pazzo all fit; Rizoma and Lightech match the Italian billet look. A lever guard is required by most US track organizations.

Honda CBR500R

The stock brake lever is adjustable from 2016 (five steps, per Honda). Womet-Tech's Evos shorty kit lists the CBR500R and CB500F 2013–2021 with the Grom, Monkey, CBR300R, CB300F and CBR250R, and is not compatible with 2022+. Vortex levers list 2013–2015.

Honda CBR650R

Womet-Tech's Evos shorty levers list the CBR650F, CB650F, CB650R and CBR650R on one kit. E-Clutch bikes keep a working clutch lever (Honda), so lever sets still apply; check that a 2024+ listing names your bike.

Kawasaki Ninja 650

Stock brake and clutch levers already adjust for reach (Kawasaki lists five positions), so aftermarket sets are for folding tips or a race guard. Check the listing names the Ninja 650 for your year: Evotech's folding set covers 2009–16 and its lever guards list the Z650 2017+.

Suzuki GSX-8R

ASV's F3 and C5 sport levers list the GSX-8R 2024–2026 and GSX-8S 2023–2026. Puig lists a clutch-lever mount for the 8S/8R.

Triumph Daytona 660

Evotech lists Evo folding and short lever sets and lever protectors for 2024+. Check whether your track organization requires a lever guard.

Yamaha R9

Evotech (folding and short sets, 2025+), TST's Womet-Tech shorty levers and Hotbodies' MGP set list the R9. Verify a listing names the 2025+ R9 before assuming MT-09 or R7 levers cross.

Aprilia Tuono 660

ASV and CRG shorty levers fit; the handlebar cockpit (vs the RS's clip-ons) means mirror, lever and perch fitment differs from RS 660 listings even where everything else matches.

Ducati Monster

ASV and CRG for function, Rizoma for the look. The Monster crowd leans billet-aesthetic more than most — matching lever, mirror, and reservoir sets are common.

Ducati Streetfighter V4

ASV and CRG are the usual picks; Rizoma matches the billet aesthetic Ducati naked owners chase. Add bar-end sliders — the wide bar hits the ground first.

Honda CB500F

Vortex lists CB500F/X levers for 2013–2014, Puig a 2013–2015 clutch-lever adapter, and Womet-Tech's shorty kit the CB500F 2013–2021 (not compatible with 2022+). The stock brake lever is adjustable from 2016.

Honda CB650R

ASV C5 or CRG; E-Clutch bikes keep a functional clutch lever, so lever sets still apply — but verify the 2024+ listing covers your variant.

Kawasaki Z650

ASV and CRG at the top, Pazzo-style adjustables mid-pack. Reach adjustment matters on a bike this popular with smaller riders.

Kawasaki Z900

ASV C5 and CRG RC2 at the top of the ladder. The stock levers are non-adjustable in the ways that matter — this is a comfort fix as much as a style one.

Suzuki GSX-8S

ASV's F3 and C5 sport levers list the GSX-8S 2023–2026 and GSX-8R 2024–2026. R&G lists a brake-lever guard for the 8S. Puig lists a clutch-lever mount for the 8S/8R.

Triumph Street Triple 765

ASV and CRG list the 765; note the RS's MCS master changes lever fitment vs the R on some years. Lever guards for track days.

Triumph Trident 660

Evotech's Evo folding and short sets and its lever protectors list 2021–24, the Triple Tribute Edition (2024+) and 2026+. The 2026 brake lever is span-adjustable from the factory.

Honda Grom

Shorty levers fit the Grom's small controls well; the usual ASV/CRG quality argument applies at Grom prices — budget pairs are common and the risk is lower at these speeds.

KTM 390 Duke

Shorty adjustable levers are near-universal small-Duke fitment within a generation and cost little; lever guards apply if you take it to track days.

Kawasaki Ninja 300

CRG lists folding and R/C Spectrum levers for 2013–2017. Bonamici lists remote-adjuster levers for the Ninja 300/400/500. Many track organizers require a lever guard.

Kawasaki Ninja 400 & Ninja 500

ASV and CRG at the quality end, and the reach adjustment genuinely matters for the newer riders this bike attracts. Lever guards required for most race orgs.

Kawasaki Z400

Lever guards and levers are listed for the Ninja 400 2018–23 (Bonamici and Norton Racing at Hotbodies). The Z400's bar is 50 mm higher and one-piece, so confirm a listing names the Z400 before you order.

Yamaha MT-03

Norton Racing lists 3/4-length folding race levers for the R3 and MT-03. The 2025 update reshaped the clutch lever, so confirm a listing names 2025+ before ordering for a new bike.

Yamaha R3

Stock levers are non-adjustable. ASV and CRG dominate the recommendation threads; budget adjustables exist but pivot quality is where cheap ones fail.
